All this week we’ll have jars in the shop, asking for donations to Macmillan Cancer Support in the run up to World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday.  Friday morning we’ll be taking donations, but also making some ourselves – 5p from each coffee sold before noon in Richmond, Clapham, and Kingston will be donated to Macmillan’s efforts supporting cancer patients and their families, ensuring that no one has to face cancer alone.

Here’s what Macmillan has to say about the event on their website:

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan Cancer Support’s biggest fundraising event. We ask people across the UK – and sometimes further afield – to hold a coffee morning, where donations on the day are made to Macmillan. In 2012 115,000 people signed up to coffee morning, raising a record £15 million.

This year we want to raise even more money to help change the lives of people affected by cancer. Find out about how Macmillan helps.
